The spot-fixing scandal involving three cricketers looks like the proverbial tip of the iceberg, if Delhi Police is to be believed. The police indicated before a court on Tuesday that it was probing not just spot-fixing but also looking into the possibility of match fixing in the IPL.

The police have claimed that arrested bookies have told them that fixing was done at three levels: One on the result of match, the second on a session of the match and third fixing spots.

"It is an extremely organised racket. Jiju Janardhan (pacer S Sreesanth's close aide) paid money directly through the hawala route. The bookie racket is spread all over India," the public prosecutor told the court, adding, "several new names" have cropped up in the case and these sensitive details will be submitted to the court in a sealed cover on Wednesday.
