The final word on Chennai IPL controversy is not out, yet. The Governing Council of the Indian Premier League may have decided to go ahead and hold the matches without the Sri Lankan players in the southern metropolis - against the wishes of the franchises that is - but there could still be a late twist in the tale.

A couple of crucial playoff matches, scheduled to be held in Chennai at the business-end of the tournament, may eventually be relocated. The IPL authorities have not yet exactly committed on this but they have kept a window open for a change.
