Former Indian spin legend and captain Bishen Singh Bedi has said that the Indian Premier League (IPL) is like a corrupted seed that was allowed to blossom.

Speaking to Gulf News during the Super Sixes final at the Sharjah Cricket stadium, Bedi said: “Right from IPL’s inception I have been saying that it is a terribly corrupted seed. They allowed this seed to grow. It should have been nipped in the bud. From the beginning, the IPL had been mired in controversy.”
